What I do and
what I’ve done

From Manualfesto to Style Guide

One of my first projects at Wacker Neuson was to update the style guide for the technical writers who produce the operator’s manuals to turn it into a professional document that could be used globally.

Poster Projects – Past and Present

The first poster was created for Persuasive Speech, and the second poster was recently designed for Global User Experience.

Hypothetical Construction Project

MSOE encourages hands-on assignments and teamwork whenever possible. For CAECM (Civil and Architectural Engineering & Construction Management), our team was tasked with calculating the construction costs to redesign MSOE’s continuing education building. The project was hypothetical but the math and planning process was real.

Hands-On Construction Project

For Project Management, I chose to remodel the community kitchen at the FEC (Family Enrichment Center, now Ozaukee Family Services) in Grafton to make it handicap accessible. Then I accepted volunteers to complete my team.

Wireframes

Global UX brought the opportunity to learn a new skill—creating wireframes. My mentor during my internship at TRICAST was starting to learn wireframing when my internship ended, so I was very happy that I would get to learn about this. The objective was to redesign a website to make it more accessible. We chose to tackle a dialect website and make it useful to ELS students at MSOE.

Quick Reference Guide

I love writing instructions. There is a beauty in the logical order that they provide and knowing that if someone else were to follow the same instructions that they would get the same results. Quick reference guides (QR) are the shortcuts in the world of instructions, and who doesn’t like a good shortcut?

Logo

This assignment gave me the opportunity to design a logo that represents me and helps develops my brand.
