Logo

Opportunity

This assignment gave me the opportunity to design a logo that represents me and helps develops my brand.

My Role

This was another individual project, so all roles in the creation of this logo were mine.

The Process

Identify who I am, what colors best represent me, and how best to present that.

Challenges

The whole process was a challenge. I tried to play on my name and use Bar 13. If the 1 and 3 are close enough together they look like the letter B, so I tried to turn it into Bar B. Sadly, it just looked like Barb and I prefer to be called Barbara. The colors and textures I initially used were experimental and did not work. I love the color green but it doesn’t represent me well here.

The Result

I have an affinity for the color red and the romance of its analogous relations. With that in mind I chose a lovely magenta. Instead of Bar B, I decided to keep it simple and use only the B. To make it dynamic, I tilted it and used a serif font.

I think everything about this represents who I am—casual, curvy, bright, cheery, sassy, and uncomplicated.
